Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and have the legal authority to enter into a binding contract to use the Services. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Accounts

Some features (such as commenting on blog posts) require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Permitted Use

You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Services to violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, network, or data.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Services.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) against the Services without our prior written consent.
• Transmit malware, spam, or any content that is harmful, defamatory, or infringing.
• Resell or sublicense access to the Services without a written agreement.

4. SenTeGuard Platform

Access to the SenTeGuard cognitive security proxy is subject to a separate Order Form or Master Services Agreement ("MSA") executed between you and SenTeGuard. In the event of conflict between these Terms and an MSA, the MSA governs. Key points:

• You may not use the platform to process data in violation of applicable data protection laws.
• You are responsible for configuring detection policies appropriate for your environment.
• SenTeGuard does not store the content of LLM prompts or responses beyond the retention period specified in your DPA (default: 30 days for log data).
• API keys and credentials issued to you are confidential and must not be shared.

5. MoyoMap and Moyo Scan

MoyoMap and Moyo Scan (moyomap.com) are provided for legitimate research purposes only. By using them you agree:

• You will only assess organisations or individuals for which you have explicit written authorisation, or your own organisation.
• You will not use Moyo to facilitate stalking, harassment, or any unlawful surveillance.
• Assessment outputs are confidential and may not be published without removing all identifying information unless you have explicit consent from the subject organisation.
• SenTeGuard is not liable for how you act on assessment findings.

6. Consulting and Training Services

Consulting and training engagements are governed by the Statement of Work ("SOW") or proposal accepted by you. Deliverables and intellectual property rights are specified in the SOW. Work product created specifically for you under an SOW is owned by you upon full payment; SenTeGuard retains rights to pre-existing methodologies, frameworks, and tools used in delivery.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on senteguard.com: including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, blog posts, frameworks (including CSVF), and software: is owned by SenTeGuard Inc. or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

The concepts of cognitive security (as applied to AI/LLM systems), idea security, and idea leakage as defined on this site were originated by David Weidman / SenTeGuard. You may quote and cite these concepts with proper attribution; you may not claim authorship.

The Cognitive Security Verification Framework (CSVF) is published under CC BY 4.0. All other site content is © SenTeGuard Inc. You may share and quote with attribution but may not reproduce it in full without written permission.

8. User-Generated Content

If you post comments on the blog you grant SenTeGuard a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the site. You retain ownership of your comments. You must not post content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove any content without notice.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. SENTEGUARD DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Security assessments and recommendations provided by SenTeGuard reflect conditions at the time of assessment. We do not guarantee that following our recommendations will prevent all security incidents.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SENTEGUARD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO SENTEGUARD IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SenTeGuard Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, with proceedings conducted in Austin, Texas. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property or confidential information.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice. Sections 7 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Disclaimers), 10 (Limitation of Liability), 11 (Indemnification), and 12 (Governing Law) survive termination.
