About SenTeGuard
We build cognitive security tools for the AI era. Network security defends the wires. Cognitive security defends the thoughts flowing through them.
Our Mission
We see a future where defense programs, Fortune 500 labs, and fast-moving startups can unleash generative AI without leaking classified data, trade secrets, or sacrificing public trust—uniting national security rigor with commercial creativity under one protective shield.
The AI revolution should not be feared. Like Google increased understandability and visibility of the complex map of links on the world wide web, we would like to do the same for how AI capabilities evolve and expand over time.
What Drives Us
- → Decentralized interest over platform dependency. We help you control your AI destiny, not lock you into OpenAI or Anthropic's roadmap.
- → Security as enablement. Good security controls let you deploy AI faster and more broadly, not slower.
Founder
David brings a decade of national security and cyber operations experience to the private sector. A graduate of West Point and a former Army Officer specializing in cyberwarfare, he has led teams defending against advanced threats in both domestic and overseas assignments.
He is currently a Master Candidate in Public Policy (International & Global Affairs) at the Harvard Kennedy School, focusing on AI regulation and security policy.
David originated the cognitive security framework for AI/LLM systems, defining cognitive security as the protection of information and decision-making processes that flow through AI systems. He also coined the terms idea security (protecting conceptual and inferential information in AI environments) and idea leakage (the unintentional exposure of confidential information through semantic proximity rather than explicit disclosure).

Why "Sente"?
In Go, a sente (先手) move compels a response. The player with sente dictates the flow of the game while the opponent is on the back foot (gote). Sente is not just moving first once—it's keeping the first-mover advantage throughout the encounter.
In cognitive security, we help defenders maintain sente. Attackers think in trees; defenders think in lists. Traditional security checks a list of known threats. We help you think in trees—anticipating attack paths and closing them before adversaries explore them.
